Carrie Hover

Carrie Hover is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is passionate about helping others to reach their potential and teaches them skills or offers insights that come from training at Ashland Theological Seminary’s Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program. She also incorporates her strengths from her background in mediation and life experiences and additional certifications to assist people in reaching their goals and processing the journey along the way. Carrie’s background as a mom who has experienced divorce, singleness, and remarriage connects her intimately with the pain and joy that comes through suffering and, ultimately, growth. She considers it an honor to walk with people in the process of finding hope, healing, and direction.

Professional Focus:
As a professional counselor, Carrie focuses her work on those seeking counseling for marriage, blended family issues, and thriving through divorce. Additionally, she works to help parents at all stages of parenting as well as co-parenting with a partner after separation.

Carrie uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy for work with all couple types and has completed Level 3 training. Carrie is also Prepare/Enrich Certified for Premarital, Marriage & Parenting assessment facilitation. Carrie is also a Smart Step Family Therapist as recognized by Ron Deal.

Personal Interests:

Carrie Hover works full time at Cornerstone Family Services utilizing spaces in Columbus and Delaware. She loves serving her communities as a partner with Cornerstone because she feels the values and mission of this hard work need a great support network. She works harder at being a full-time wife and mother and grandmother to her family. When she finds free time, she enjoys reading books for growth and for pleasure. Working out is a priority for her sanity and health, and she continues to work on those scrapbooks that highlight the joys of blended family life! She is also involved in serving on the connections and children’s teams at the church where her husband is the Campus Life Minister.
