Amy Proctor, LPC

Amy Proctor, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor currently under the supervision of Tracy Whiteside, LPCC-S. She earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Additionally, Amy holds a Master of Science in Industrial Relations from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Illinois.

Professional Focus:
Amy is passionate about working with clients of all ages, including adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and groups. Her focus areas include anxiety, depression, adoption, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, parenting, spiritual concerns, and women’s issues. Amy is dedicated to providing an encouraging and nurturing environment where she partners with clients on their path to hope and healing. She incorporates empirically based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Level I Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, tailored to each client’s needs.

Personal Interests:

Amy has been actively involved as a Bible study leader, church leader, and volunteer serving underprivileged families through a resource ministry for 13 years. She and her husband of 33 years have experienced the joys and challenges of raising their five adult children and building lasting relationships with friends. In her free time, Amy enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, photography, reading, and gardening.
