Marla Antunes is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has graduated with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Case Western Reserve University. She aspires to create a warm and welcoming environment where she uses empirically-based techniques to help clients work towards their individual goals. She

Areas of Clinical Focus:
Marla is passionate about working with adolescents and adults on their paths towards wellness. Her areas of clinical focus include adjustment issues, anxiety, college, depression, marriage and relationships, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Marla has additional training with:
Completion of Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) certified for premarital counseling.

Personal Information:
Marla recently moved to the Columbus area with her husband and rescue cat, Milly, and they are actively involved in a local home church. She enjoys nearly any outdoor activity, especially running, rock climbing, skiing, and tennis. If being outside isn’t an option, you can find her listening to a good audio book or working on a small carpentry project. Marla always finds time to keep in touch with her close-knit Pittsburgh family through regularly scheduled virtual game nights.
