The Anxiety Wall

Some level of anxiety in life is good, healthy and normal. For example, it helps to keep you from walking into a street without first looking both ways (unless you are a distracted walker because you are too busy texting to pay attention to where you are going…but that is another problem).

But there are levels of anxiety that can start to impair our daily lives. Sometimes that anxiety can feel like a giant wall keeping us from going where we want and doing what we desire. If you know someone struggling with high anxiety, telling them to “get over it” is not very helpful and can even be hurtful.

Finding ways to treat anxiety is not always easy, but there are a variety of different treatments out there, so if you or a loved one is struggling, it is important to remember that things can get better.

For example, whereas some people find that talking through their worries and stress with a therapist can help them to find closure, others prefer to manage their anxiety with herbal remedies such as all natural hemp oil. Ultimately, as with anything health related, it is crucial to always consult with a medical professional to help you find a treatment that works for you.
